Today, members of the Malone Callfiremen took part in our 2026 Annual Pump Drill, an important hands on training focused on drafting operations and water movement. Using portable tanks and coordinated engine operations, crews practiced:

-Establishing reliable water supply from static sources
-Operating multiple apparatus simultaneously
-Maintaining consistent flow for firefighting operations

A big thank you to all members who participated and helped make this training a success.

With the warmer weather arriving, conditions are becoming increasingly dry, which raises the risk of brush and wildfires in our area.

Please remember that we are currently in the New York State burn ban. Open burning is not permitted during this time.

We ask everyone to use caution with any outdoor activities that could spark a fire. A small fire can spread quickly under these conditions.

Stay safe and help us protect our community.

In 2025, the Malone Callfiremen responded to 551 alarms, answering the call day and night in service to our community and our neighbors. Our members served with dedication, professionalism, and pride throughout the year.

We are grateful to every member who responded, trained, stood by, and sacrificed time with family to help others. Every response, every drill, every standby, and every sacrifice matters — it takes an entire team working together to do what we do. Here’s to another year of service, teamwork, and dedication.
