It was great traveling across the state and meeting so many wonderful people.
Thank you to CCDL for all you do.
Visiting Stafford Motor Speedway is always a great thrill — meeting the team owners, drivers, and the hardworking pit crews who make it all happen behind the scenes.
From Brooklyn to Chester and Terryville, the fairs were fantastic. Seeing the livestock, the proud owners, and the next generation of Connecticut farmers was a great reminder of the traditions that continue to make our state special.
Thank you to everyone who works so hard to keep those traditions alive, and congratulations to all who had the opportunity to show off the results of that hard work.

Another Connecticut manufacturing facility. Another story we shouldn’t ignore.
I stopped at Leed-Himmel Industries to talk about something bigger than one company or one building: what happens when Connecticut becomes too difficult and too expensive for businesses to grow, invest, and create jobs here.
These aren’t just numbers on a spreadsheet. These are jobs, families, communities, and opportunities.

Connecticut can do better, and with new leadership, we will.

It’s been a great week traveling across Connecticut and hearing directly from small business owners along the shoreline and throughout our state about the challenges they face every day.
Small and large businesses are vital to our communities. Hospitality, lodging, and tourism are especially important, supporting jobs, local restaurants, shops, attractions, and so many other businesses.
I also traveled to Suffield to meet with elected leaders and farmers and hear about the challenges facing agriculture.
Farming is more than an industry in Connecticut. It’s part of our heritage, our communities, and our way of life and it’s something worth protecting for future generations.

Hospitals are under pressure. Families and small businesses are paying more for healthcare. Yet even the state acknowledges hospitals aren’t being fully reimbursed for the care they provide.
There is a lot of money moving through Connecticut’s healthcare system.
The question is: where is it all going?

Thank you, Dr. Sweets, for the invitation to The First Cathedral. What an inspirational sermon by Senior Pastor Dr. Michael Bailey, Sr.
The band and singers were absolutely incredible, as good as any Broadway production you could attend.
You leave a place like The First Cathedral reflecting on life, on what we can do not only for ourselves, but for others as well. A wonderful message and a wonderful experience.

What an amazing day at the annual Harugari Pig Roast & Bierfest!
A huge thank you to the Harugari German-American Club for the wonderful hospitality.
And a very special thank you, and Happy Birthday, to Walt, who spent his birthday cooking the roasted pork for everyone. It was absolutely delicious!
The Harugari Liedertafel dates back to 1875 — 151 years of history,ç and today the club continues to keep German culture, fellowship, and community spirit alive in West Haven.
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make today such a great event.

Great to be back in my hometown for the 75th Annual Peach Festival!
Thank you to MARC for hosting another wonderful community event. A little rain certainly hasn’t dampened the turnout or the spirit here today.
And if you like peach shortcake, it is delicious!
A big thank you to all the volunteers who are working hard to make this event such a success. Great job, everyone!

Thank you, Nadine, for your hospitality at the 44th Annual Canton Volunteer Fire Company Lobster Fest!
It was great running into Canton First Selectman Kevin Witkos, who was volunteering his chef skills for the event. A big shout-out as well to Corey Russo, who has certainly mastered the art of cooking lobster for a crowd this size!
Thank you to Matt and Keith Rocco Racing. I enjoyed meeting the team supporting Ava Lombardo, a rising racer who drives the No. 24 SK Light Modified at Stafford Motor Speedway.
One of my favorite moments of the day was watching a young girl admiring the race car. She must have climbed in and out of it at least six times! You never know, maybe we were watching a future race car driver getting her start. Ava will be racing this Friday at Stafford, and we’ll be cheering her on!
I also had the opportunity to speak with some of Canton’s young volunteer firefighters. It was great hearing about their plans for the future, a few are heading to college, some into the trades, and another into agriculture. These young people are already learning the meaning of service before self, giving their time to their community while working toward their own futures. I wish all of you the very best in whatever path you choose.
Thank you to all the volunteers who put in the time and hard work to make the Canton Lobster Fest such a great event!
And it’s still happening today, so don’t miss it!

When state employees come forward with serious concerns, they should know someone is listening.
Whistleblower complaints and workplace concerns should never be allowed to disappear into a bureaucracy while employees feel their voices are falling on deaf ears.
Saying “we’re looking into it” isn’t enough if the people who came forward still believe nothing is being addressed.
As Lieutenant Governor, I will make sure my office is a safe place for whistleblowers and state employees who believe they have nowhere else to turn. You will have a voice.
Transparency and accountability should be at the heart of government, and every state employee deserves a safe, respectful and productive workplace.

Spending some time in Saratoga. It’s early morning before today’s races, and for me, one of the best parts of being here is visiting the stables.
Seeing these beautiful horses up close and watching how much work, dedication, and care goes into preparing them is something special.
A big thank you to Anthony Dutrow Racing for introducing me to an up-and-coming two-year-old. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on her and maybe putting a couple of dollars on her when the time comes!
