We'll be setting the clocks back this weekend. Why are we telling you now? So you have time to stop and get batteries for your smoke alarm. Flip those clocks, change those batteries! And use caution driving - farm equipment and deer are going to be harder to see in all this darkness.

Now is a good time to update the emergency supplies you keep in your vehicle.

Consider including a flashlight, phone charger or power bank, water, snacks, first aid supplies and a warm blanket.

A little preparation can go a long way when you’re away from home.

Great exercise with Linn, Clayton and Cedar County EMAs, United Way, CERT, HACAP, and others on Volunteer Reception Centers. Exercising the skills we need to handle a large influx of volunteers helps us be ready should the worst happen.
