We have a very special storytime coming up next week... Music with Melinda! Join us at the Municipal Marina in downtown Manistee at 11 a.m. on June 25. This is a great opportunity for babies, toddlers and small children to experience music and movement. You won't want to miss out on the fun!

We're digging in this summer with a Cookie Excavation for Kids! 🍪

Learn the methods used at an actual archeological dig site and reveal how much chocolate is held within your cookie! Snacks aplenty for participants, ages 6 & up.

This event will be taking place at multiple locations:
Wellston Branch Library on June 22 at 5 p.m.
Kaleva Branch Library on June 23 at 5 p.m.

Don't miss this week's storytime, as we partner with Little River Band of Ottawa Indians Be-Da-Bin Behavioral Health for another Storytellers Thursday! Tribe members will share stories about their rich culture and tradition, and then we will make a craft to take home.

This program is ideal for children and families ages 2 and up, but all are welcome. No registration required! This event will take place at the Manistee City Marina on June 18 at 11 a.m.

The Friends of the Manistee County Library will be hosting a book sale on July 3 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m on the library lawn!

Donations for the sale will be accepted at Manistee Main circulation desk from Monday June 15 through Thursday July 2 at 1 p.m. As always, we ask that you please only donate books that are in good condition. We cannot accept old textbooks, encyclopedias, magazines, books with odors, or books that are brown with age.

The Friends of the Manistee County Library are happy to accept fiction, non-fiction and children's books in good, sell-able condition. CDs, DVDs and puzzles are also accepted.

If you have more than 2 large bags or boxes to donate, please call the library (231-723-2519) in advance to arrange a drop-off time.

We are very excited to partner with again this summer!

Beginning this week, meals will be available for pickup at our Wellston Branch location (1273 Seaman Rd) on Fridays from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
This is available at no cost to all youth (18 and under) and disabled adults up to age 26.

This offering will continue weekly on Fridays through August 31.

Manistee Main Library's storytime is going on the road this summer! On Thursday, June 11 at 11 a.m., we're meeting at 5th Avenue Beach in Manistee (near the shore-- look for Miss Angie and the library sign!).

Kids and their families can listen to story, hang with friends and play with our extensive collection of beach toys for this special Sandcastle Storytime!
