💜 A BIG Thank You to Let’s Ketchup! 🍎

Today, Let’s Ketchup delivered a generous food donation to Manteno High School! We are so grateful for their kindness and commitment to making sure students have the resources they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

Their work to remove barriers and support students and families makes a real difference in our school!

💜Our Manteno High School/Manteno Chamber of Commerce Mentor Group visited the Manteno Veterans Home for a morning of service, conversation, and connection!

Our students rolled up their sleeves and jumped right in by taking food orders, cooking breakfast, and serving meals to the veterans. Just as importantly, they took the time to sit down, talk, and learn from the incredible men and women who have served our country.

Experiences like these remind us that mentorship goes beyond the classroom. It’s about building relationships, serving others, and learning the value of giving back to our community.

A huge thank-you to the Manteno Veterans Home for welcoming our students and to the Manteno Chamber of Commerce for helping provide these meaningful opportunities!💜

Well, that's a wrap on Hoco 26 at MHS! Here's a re-cap of the weekend's festivities.

🏐 The juniors came out on top for the staff volleyball game and the seniors pulled through for the win during hoco games! 🏆 But let's hear it for the FRESHMEN who ALMOST pulled off the upset of the century against the seniors during tug-of-war! 💪🏻 🏈 The football team put up a fight and came up short against the Blue Devils, but the Panthers always win when it comes to school spirit! 😈

🪩 We ended the week with our Homecoming dance, A Night in the Rainforest. Congrats to two of our own StuCo members, Maddy and Brady, for being crowned Homecoming King and Queen! Thanks to Essential Smoothies, DJ Mondy and Bianca from 360 FX for the delicious smoothies, great music and unique 360° photo booth! 🕺💃

💜 The MHS Student Council would like to thank all of the admin, staff and students who helped to make this week possible. We appreciate your support and we look forward to planning Homecoming 27! 💜

🐍 Just another day in the rainforest at MHS! 🐍

🐵 Rainforest Day was crawling with monkeys, snakes, butterflies, sloths and animal print EVERYTHING! 🐵

🍪 Students enjoyed watching Mady and Liam crawl their way to victory during the Cookie Crawl game at lunch. They each won a Crumbl gift card! 🍪

👑 🏐 But the real QUEENS of the rainforest? The volleyball team who beat Coal City and are now 25-0! Way to go, girls! 🏐👑

💪🏻There's just ONE MORE DAY of activities before the big night on Saturday! Don't forget to buy your tickets! Homecoming games are this morning and later tonight, join us for the football game against Peotone! We'll also announce King & Queen between games. We hope to see you soon for A Night in the Rainforest! 🏈

🦜 The WILDNESS continued at MHS yesterday! 🦜

👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻 We had some super cute flocks of twin, duo, and group costumes for the spirit day, and things got LOW LOW LOW at lunch with a fan favorite: limbo! Winners from each lunch will compete again on Friday during Hoco games! 👩🏼‍🤝‍👨🏻

🏐🏈 About last night...the CLAWS WERE OUT in full force at our annual Mighty Muscle Volleyball and Powder Puff Football games. In the end, the juniors were unstoppable and took home both the Mighty Muscle and Powder Puff championships! 🏆 The juniors will have one more chance to show what they've got on Friday when they play the staff team! 🏈🏐

🌸 Another WILD day in the rainforest at MHS! 🌸

🍦 Ice cream didn't stand a chance during the lunch contest yesterday! Officer Spengler was a close second to LeeAndra, who won during 1st lunch. Max took home the victory during 2nd lunch, and both received PJ's gift cards for their stellar performance!🍦

💜 Students brought their school spirit too... in anything but their backpacks! We saw strollers, tires, suitcases, and even canoes and Power Wheels cars! The Panther Pride runs strong! 💜

🪩 Students - don't forget to buy your dance ticket! Tickets can only be purchased online. Tickets are $25 for MHS students and $35 for outside guests. 🪩
