Please join the City of Marco Island Fire Rescue Department in congratulating Dan Ring on his promotion to Engineer.

Engineer Dan Ring began his career with the department on June 15, 2018, and has proudly served the community as a firefighter/paramedic with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. Prior to joining the fire service, he attended the United States Naval Academy, where he played nose guard on the football team. Throughout his career, Dan has earned the respect of his peers through his dedication to the department and his commitment to serving the community.

In his new role as Engineer, Dan will take on the critical responsibility of operating and maintaining fire apparatus during emergency incidents. Engineers play a vital role on the fireground by ensuring crews have a dependable water supply, properly functioning equipment, and safely positioned apparatus, all while supporting the efficiency and safety of emergency operations. The position demands strong technical knowledge, calm decision-making under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to teamwork.

Engineer Ring, we are proud of this achievement and look forward to all that your career will continue to bring. Congratulations on this well-deserved promotion! 🚒
