Recently there have been a series of attempted Burglary of Motor Vehicle at different residences here in Mathis. We are aggressively working to POSITIVELY identify the suspects and secure warrants. As of 5-19-2026, it will be the practice of the Mathis Police Department to publish photos of adult subjects arrested in Mathis and booked into San Patricio County Jail. Police departments around the state and the country have been doing so for a very long time. It is important that Mathis PD be transparent in its approach to law enforcement and fair across the board to the community it serves. Only publicly accessible information will be posted.
