Our March Student Highlight is Colton Jones. Colton has worked in our Mechanics Shop as a mechanics apprentice and has shown an interest in becoming a Heavy Equipment Operator. We at the Mason County Landfill are pleased to offer Colton a full-time position with Mason County Landfill as an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Operator once he graduates. Colton is a student from The Mason County Career Magnet School that has the drive to push himself to learn and strives for success in his Field of interest. We appreciate our partnership with the Mason County Career Magnet School as we give our Mason County Students the real life hands on experience in the workforce that is needed for success in life.

Mason County Garbage Collections will be closed tomorrow 1/26/2026 because of the weather. We will run double routes on Tuesday 1/27/2026. That means Monday as well as Tuesdays route will be picked up on Tuesday. Please allow time for out team to get to you Tuesday as their safety is our number one priority. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you.

The Maysville Mason County Landfill and Mason County Garbage collections office will be closed Thursday December 25 friday December 26 and Saturday December 27.
Mason County Garbage will not be picked up on christmas day. We will run double routes on friday.
Again Thursday December 25, 2025 garbage will be picked up on friday December 26, 2025. Thank you
