Great tips to remember when you're riding your bike to the library this fall!

Whether you're exploring Mead's neighborhoods, parks, or trails, practicing safe riding habits helps protect you and everyone around you.

• Always wear a properly fitted helmet.
• Ride in the same direction as traffic and obey all traffic signs, signals, and speed limits.
• Be visible by wearing bright clothing, using lights in low-light conditions, and signaling your turns.
• Be courteous on shared paths and sidewalks. Slow down, announce yourself before passing, and give pedestrians plenty of space.
• Know your e-bike. E-bikes are heavier than traditional bicycles, require a longer stopping distance, and can be more difficult to control, especially with a passenger.

By riding responsibly, we can help keep Mead's streets, sidewalks, and trails safe for everyone.
