Rose Tree Fire Company

Rose Tree Fire Company Founded in 1953, the Rose Tree Fire Company serves and protects the citizens of Upper Providence Township in Delaware County, PA.

For more information please visit our webpage. Our front line apparatus consists of an Engine, Quint, and Rescue. In addition we also have the chief's vehicle which responds directly to calls, the utility which is used as needed, and our original 1953 American LaFrance engine which has been appropriately named "RT1". At our station we also have a beautiful hall with adjoining kitchen, restrooms, c

oat room, and even a small bar area. For more information on hall rentals or to reserve a date and time to rent the hall, please visit our website and click on the "Hall Rental" link at the bottom of the left hand column.

Friday morning(5/26/26), Rose Tree firefighters responded on mutual aid to Edgmont Township for a reported bedroom fire.

Upon arrival, crews found the fire had already been knocked down by first-arriving companies. Rose Tree personnel assisted with overhaul and supported EMS with patient care. Due to the property’s steep terrain, the elderly homeowners were located on a rear deck at Division 2 while the fire room was located on Division 1. Crews assisted EMS with safely bringing the residents down from the deck for further evaluation.

The video shows Quint 73 responding to the call—our “old faithful.” While we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Quint 73, this truck continues to answer the bell whenever called upon.

For years, our engineer team has gone to great lengths to keep this aging apparatus in service. Through countless hours of maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and ingenuity, they have continued to find ways to keep Quint 73 ready for the next call. As the truck has aged, however, obtaining replacement parts and maintaining specialized systems has become increasingly difficult. What was once an occasional challenge has become an exponential one.

Yet despite those challenges, Quint 73 continues to roll out the door and serve our community. This response is another reminder of the dedication of our members—not only those riding the truck, but also those behind the scenes who work tirelessly to keep it operational.

After decades of dedicated service to Upper Providence and surrounding communities, she continues to get the job done.

Thank you to all companies that operated on scene, and we’re glad this incident had a positive outcome for the residents involved. 🚒

Congratulations to the Penncrest High School Lacrosse team on an incredible championship season and a well-earned victory! 🥍🏆

We’d also like to give a special shoutout to RTFC member Ryan Havel, who was part of this championship team. Watching our younger members succeed both in the community and on the field is something we take a lot of pride in.

From all of us at Rose Tree Fire Company — congratulations Ryan and congratulations to the entire Penncrest team on bringing home the championship! 🔥🥍

🚒 We’re trying to act calm… but it’s getting REALLY hard. 👀

Quint 73 has officially been released from the factory in Florida and arrived in Lancaster, PA this afternoon.

Next up:

👨‍🔧 Final manufacturer inspections
📋 RTFC inspections start on June 5th
🛣 Then hopefully… a trip home.

At this point, our members are basically tracking this truck like it’s an Amazon package with lights and a pump panel.

We’re getting close. Really close.

Stay tuned — because the next update might involve a whole lot of excited firefighters standing around saying “wow” repeatedly.

🍽️📜 A Big Thank You to Our State Representative! 🚒

This evening, our members were treated to a fantastic dinner generously provided by Rep. Jennifer O'Mara

Representative O’Mara also took the time to present each of our members with a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their dedication and service to the community.

Unfortunately, our social media guy arrived fashionably late… and by the time he got there, the food had already disappeared. Judging by the empty trays and satisfied firefighters, we can only assume it was outstanding. 🔥🍴

We are grateful for Representative O’Mara’s continued support of our volunteer firefighters and for recognizing the countless hours our members dedicate to protecting Upper Providence Township.

Thank you for the thoughtful meal, the kind words, and the certificates of appreciation.

☀️ The first heat wave of the year is here! 🌡️

As temperatures climb over the next several days, remember to take steps to stay safe in the heat:

💧 Drink plenty of water
🧢 Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning
🚗 Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle
👵 Check in on elderly neighbors and those who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat

Heat-related illnesses can develop quickly, so listen to your body and take action if you begin to feel dizzy, weak, or overheated.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for one another.
