An update for our visitors: Camping reservations at Rough Rider State Park are not open yet due to ongoing construction. While the project is nearing completion, remaining work will continue this spring, and final timelines are heavily dependent on weather conditions.

Once a re-opening date is finalized, we will share when camping reservations will open so campers can begin booking. Day-use access to the Maah Daah Hey Trail will remain open throughout construction.

Take a look at this video from November, which shows the progress made so far. We appreciate your patience as these improvements take shape and look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
