Mercer Area Library

The Mercer Area Library is doing our yearly fundraising drive. Once a year, we send out letters asking for donations from the community. These donations are what allow the Mercer Area Library to do everything we do, from weekly Storytimes to chess clubs, to Book Discussions to Computer Training. It helps us keep the lights on, the AC blowing and the Wi-Fi going. And, of course, helping us buy our many books (over 1,500 last year alone)!

We deeply appreciate any donations that you can make (small amounts adds up!). Donations can be made in person (we like to see your smiling face!), mailed to the Library or made online at https://www.mercerarealibrary.org/donate .

Mah Jongg Club starting at the library!

Have you ever wanted to learn Mah Jongg? Or maybe just curious about trying a new game? The Mercer Library is starting a Mah Jongg Club aimed at beginners and those with no knowledge of the game. We have two teachers lined up, ready to show you all the ins and outs of the game.

Meetings will be on Thursdays at 1:30 pm.

Due to staffing issues, the Mercer Area Library is closing at 2 PM tomorrow, June 17 2026. Any materials due that day have been automatically extended.

Summer Reading is here! Pictured are just a few of the prizes available to win! Come and get your BINGO card today for a chance to win any of these. We have contests and prizes for all age levels, from Preschool to Adults.

Summer Reading is also about our wonderful programs. They start with our Carnival Kickoff on Tuesday June 16, at noon. No library card or sign-up required to attend this event. Come check out a food truck, get a balloon animal and maybe pick up your BINGO card.

Summer Reading is almost here! We start handing out BINGO cards (for all ages) on June 2. Here is a look at the kid's events planned for the entire Summer. Remember, no library card needed and all events are free!

Pardon our dust! We are getting our front sidewalk fixed up after a long winter. The Library is still open, we just ask everyone to come and go using the side door for the next few days.

Spring fever got you thinking about gardening? Same here, that's why we started our little potato patch! They just broke ground this weekend.

If you have outdoor plans of your own, come check out our seed library. We have free seeds for all sorts of vegetables and flowers.
