There's one lantern in the window at the Mercer Library because....the meeting room pods are coming! We've confirmed delivery and install is scheduled for June 9 and 10, so they're arrival is just around the corner!

We're not anticipating any changes to Library operations during the install. Once they're here, they won't quite be ready to use and reserve, but we're anticipating they'll be up and running no later than June 30!

Don't miss the June Mid-Month Movie Matinee: Jumanji! Our partnership with the Mercer Senior Center brings our favorite films for all to enjoy.

For the summer, screenings will be at the Library on the second Wednesday at 12:15pm. July's film will be The Good Dinosaur (2015, rated PG) and August's will be Fried Green Tomatoes (1991, rated PG-13)

MESSAGE FROM THE FRIENDS:

We are almost one month into the annual membership drive and already 107 people have renewed or joined for the first time!

We are grateful for the support of members both near and far who help fund wonderful summer programs and activities for residents and visitors alike. We’re also excited that the library renovation project, partially funded by the Friends, is nearing completion.

The Mercer Public Library plays an important role in supporting literacy, lifelong learning, social connection, and community engagement in Mercer. If you believe in that vision, we invite you to become a Friend of the Library and help support the library’s future.

We're just a few weeks away from the beginning of the 2026 Summer Reading Challenge! Starting June 15, grab a reading log, set your own goal by books or minutes, and start tracking your progress. This years prizes include a "To Be Read" Book basket, a 16" Cordelia Blue Bookworm Squishmallow, or a Lego 3 in 1 Creator kit.

Memorial Day marks the shift to our summer hours! We're open later on Mondays-Thursdays until Labor Day, Friday and Saturday hours stay the same.

We'll be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Make sure to stop by before we close to check out your books, movies, and games before the long weekend.

After Memorial Day, we'll return with extended summer hours.
