Mark your calendars on July 16 at 6pm for our second author in our A Conversation With series: Patricia Skalka!

A 2024 Wisconsin Library Association Notable author, Skalka will bring Door County to Mercer with the Dave Cubiak mystery series. Death Stalks Door County was recognized by USA Today as the book to represent Wisconsin in their "50 States/50 Books to Read"

Our order of 127 t-shirts for our Tie-Dye Party has arrived!! Sizes range from Youth XS to Adult 3X. You don’t need to have any skills or even have tie-dyed before to get a great shirt to wear for the 4th.

All ages are welcome and there’s no to cost to attend. Large groups are strongly encouraged to bring 100% cotton or other natural fiber shirts to guarantee availability.

On July 2 from 4-6pm, we're hosting an Opening Reception to recognize the life and work of our 2026/2027 Artist in Residence, Mietzi Bleck. Light refreshments and food provided; free and open to the public.

All programs in the Artist in Residence series are sponsored by the Friends of the Mercer Library.

Mark your calendar for the most anticipated day in summer programming: the Annual Tie-Dye Party!

All ages are welcome and t-shirts are provided. Large groups are encouraged to bring their own shirts due to limited supplies. Items brought should be 100% natural fiber and pre-rinsed for best results.

It’s time for our annual Tie-Dye Party on July 1 from 10am-12pm! Make your own custom tie-dye shirts using supplies provided by the Library right on time to wear during the 4th of July celebrations!

Our new room reservation system is back online including all 4 meeting room pods! Head over to our website and look for Room Reservations under the Resources tab.

If you made a booking previously, the reservation has already been input into the new platform.

Thanks to the hard work of Judy D, Janet D, Jamie D, Kris B, John B, Hedda P, Ellen A, and Beth W, the rocks that were previously on the front desk have been added to our garden as a decorative feature.

We included all of the rocks in the design and will look at how to highlight them in future landscaping to honor the service given by Marge Pemble to the Library outside of the kids room which was dedicated in 2014.
