Congratulations to these three! Deputy Macias, Deputy Satcho, and Deputy Perron graduated from the North Dakota Law Enforcement Training Academy today. This marks a major milestone in their careers to serve as peace officers and the citizens of Ward County.

Starting salary ranges from $55,676 to $64,568 with potential credit given for lateral transfers and eligibility for promotion to Corporal after one year, provided certain conditions are met.

Benefits include, but are not limited to, the following: County pays 97% of the premium for both family and single health insurance plans. Deputies contribute only 0.5% to the NDPERS law enforcement retirement plan, while the County contributes 17.5%, resulting in increased take-home pay.

RTI International representatives may be visiting homes in and around Minot, Des Lacs, and Burlington while conducting a voluntary study for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The survey includes questions about to***co, alcohol and drug use, health insurance, mental health, and related topics.

Residents should not be alarmed if contacted. Participation is completely voluntary, and residents are never required to provide information or participate.
