We are so excited to be recruiting a practicum student for the upcoming academic year! This paid position for a BSW or MSW student will allow you to learn valuable real-world social work skills including case management, resource navigation, policy to practice context, and more! The Food Pantry will be closed tomorrow, Saturday April 25th.

The Food Pantry has been open for just over seven years! We started in a very small space with room for just a few shelves before we were adopted under ASUM as part of the former Renter Center. Since then, we've grown to serve more students than we ever thought possible thanks to the funding that ASUM fee dollars provide! Vote TODAY and tomorrow on the ASUM website to weigh in on the ASUM Student Activity fee, next year's student government, and more.

The countdown is on! Our annual Spring Resource Fair is less than a week away and we are so excited to see you there. Students will have the opportunity to win prizes just from interacting with our friends from Missoula Food Bank, All Nations Health Center, the Western MT LGBTQ+ Community Center, and more!

It's ASUM election week! The Food Pantry and the Bear Necessities office are primarily funded by your student fee dollars. Without the ASUM activity fee, our work would not be possible! Make sure to vote on Wednesday and Thursday this week to weigh in on next year's ASUM executive team, senators, and fees.

It's tiiiiiime! Join the Bear Necessities team and friends from across Missoula on Monday in the UC for our spring resource fair! For students graduating, or just getting ready to take break this summer, this fair is the perfect place to learn about ways you can get involved in the community. Students have the opportunity to win prizes for engaging with our tables, and will have free snacks available thanks to our generous sponsors. We hope to see you there!
