Last night for our weekly training, our members conducted hands-on vehicle fire training. The main focus was on fire attack techniques, hose line deployment, firefighter safety, and vehicle fire behavior.

We want to give a special shout out to our dedicated Modena Fire & Rescue members. Today, the department had to pivot during the Memorial Day Parade to handle an emergency wires down incident that required a prolonged road shutdown.

​Despite the emergency, Modena was still represented in the parade—5 female members marched to honor our fallen veterans while the rest of the crew secured the scene.

Some events are about more than golf… they’re about community, compassion, and standing beside those who need us most.

Join Modena Fire & Rescue on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland, NY for a day that honors the memory of Michael D. Croce while making a meaningful difference for others.

Because of the incredible generosity of our community, last year we were proud to donate $5,000 to Memorial Sloan Kettering! This year, we hope to make an even greater impact.

The 2026 tournament will benefit the Hudson Valley Cancer Resource Center in honor of Past Chief Ken Meyer, who is courageously battling Leukemia and Pancreatic Cancer. Ken has given so much to our department and to this community throughout the years, now it’s our turn to stand with him and his family.

Every golfer, sponsor, raffle donation, and dinner guest helps provide hope, support, and resources to families facing some of life’s hardest battles.
