What a treat it is to be part of such a hardy community! The Memorial Day parade was soggy (to say the least) but spirits were high and people turned out despite the rain! We had an incredible crew of enthusiastic library kids who were wet to the bone but cheered, laughed, and threw candy to soggy onlookers, without uttering a single complaint! Way to go kids and grownups of Monroe!

Please join us for Lego club tomorrow at 10:30am at the library. Lego Club is open to kids of all ages and towns! (See attached flyer)

Starting in June we will move to our summer schedule for Kids Programming which will meet every other Tuesday from 4:30-6pm. Stay tuned for more information about that soon!

Join us at 10:30 am at the library tomorrow for Parade storytime! We will read a few stories, then create decorations for our library float for the parade on Monday! If you would like to ride along on the library float, we will meet at 10:40 am on Monday to load up for the 11:00 am parade start. We are looking forward to a weekend of community activities!

Have you seen the Monroe Community Library 's free "Seed Library"? Stop in and take home free seeds to plant. Try a new variety this year or an old favorite. Too many veggies? Grow a Row and donate to Waldo County Bounty's Give & Take stand outside Town Hall.

Free admission to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens!

The Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are free for Maine residents May 29-31. With the pass, you can visit free every day. Stop by or email to reserve our pass, good for 1-2 adults and as many as 10 children/day. The sun is coming!

What an amazing Spring Celebration we had at the library! Live music, a special guest reader, beautifully decorated cookies, maypole dances (no small feat when you are teaching young children!), crafts, and seeds for all of the kids to take home. 🌺 📕🎻 🌼

We are so lucky to be part of this vibrant and wonderful community!
