The story walk up at Gesner Park is now open! We had a lovely celebration of the opening the other evening where we enjoyed pizza and ice cream, reading and play! Congratulations to Greyson, who won $15 to Wild Cow Creamery after completing the story walk challenge and winning the drawing🍦 Thank you to everyone who volunteered time and energy to make this fun community project happen. We hope you enjoy reading while you walk the loop up at the park!

Come celebrate the end of a great summer of reading with the opening of the Gesner Park story walk from 5-6:30pm. The kids worked hard on their summer reading challenge and have earned an ice cream party, so there will be frozen treats and pizza! There will also be a drawing for a $15 gift certificate to Wild Cow Creamery for kids who complete the story walk challenge this evening. Come have some fun with friends up at the park!

Come celebrate the end of summer and the new story walk up at Gesner Park on Monday from 5-6:30pm. The kids worked hard and filled up our summer reading challenge pom pom jar, so there will be ice cream and pizza. Swing by after stopping in at the Monroe School open house and enjoy an evening of reading and fun! 📚 🍕🍦

Join us Tuesday (August 11th) for the last Lego Club of the summer! Kids can make Lego creations to put on display in the library. We also provide Duplos for younger kiddos to play with. We will enjoy a pizza dinner at 5:30pm. So come create, eat, and hang out with friends!

Remember to bring in your reading sheets to add pom poms to our reading challenge jar to earn ice cream to go along with pizza at our final celebration party at Gesner on Monday August 24th from 5-6:30pm. We will also celebrate the grand reveal of our new Storywalk! Hoping to see lots of kids there to celebrate the library, reading, and the end of summer 🙂

Come join us for “Art Club” tomorrow (Tuesday) at 4:30pm the Monroe Community Library! 🎨 We will start by reading a story 📕, then kids will be free to get creative and make some art. We will finish with a pizza dinner at 5:30pm! 🍕

Join us at the Monroe Community Library Tuesday (July 14th) at 4:30pm for Lego Club and pizza dinner! It’s going to be hot but the library stays nice and cool, so come make a Lego creation and have some fun with friends.

Remember to bring your reading sheets so we can start working on filling up our reading challenge jar to earn an ice cream party in August! If you haven’t grabbed any reading sheets yet, swing by the library or grab some tomorrow at Lego Club.

TODAY! Grab some painting clothes and come help paint the storywalk boards today at 4:30pm at Gesner Park! This is a collaborative effort with the Monroe Recreation Committee and will result in the installation of a StoryWalk around the walking loop at Gesner Park on the next few weeks. What’s better than combining some outdoor exercise and reading??
