Congratulations to our Lady Canes Softball! It's a great day to be a Hurricane!

🌟 REGION CHAMPS!! 🌟

Canes go 12-0 in region play after winning a nail biting game against Social Circle. They played 2 extra innings and went into an ITB but were able to secure the win! Great fielding, great bats, and great pitching. They came to win and that’s exactly what they did. Play offs start on Monday 10/12. Come cheer on your Canes on Monday! Stay tuned for game details!!

We are excited to celebrate Brittney Bryant, teacher at Jasper County Primary School, for being recognized by the Georgia Literacy Council for her outstanding work in helping students grow as readers! Mrs. Bryant has been named a Regional Literacy Teacher of the Year, recognizing the exceptional reading growth of her students. She is now eligible for statewide honors to be announced later this year! Today, Mrs. Bryant received a special surprise celebration with her students, along with a $1,500 award, flowers, and gifts in recognition of her achievement.

This honor reflects the difference great teachers make every day by building strong literacy foundations and helping our youngest learners succeed. Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Bryant on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud to have her representing Jasper County! 💜

Jasper County Charter System Statement on Measles:
The Jasper County Charter System is aware of recent measles cases confirmed in Jasper County by the Georgia Department of Health. At this time, there have been no measles cases associated with any of our school buildings, and no close contacts have been identified in our schools.

We work closely with public health officials. If a student or staff member in one of our schools is ever identified as a case, the district will notify families of that school promptly.

Questions about measles cases, possible exposure in the community, or vaccination should be directed to the Jasper County Health Department at (706) 468-6850. We will continue to follow public health guidance and keep families informed if anything changes that affects our schools

Jasper County High School’s 2026 four-year graduation rate is 94.15%, the district’s highest graduation rate since 2018. The rate is more than five percentage points above Georgia’s statewide four-year graduation rate of 88.5%, which reached a historic high in 2026. The Jasper County Board of Education recognized Jasper County High School for earning six 2025-2026 AP School Honors and celebrated nine current JCHS students who earned a score of 5, the highest possible score, on one or more Advanced Placement exams. We are proud of the hard work of our students, teachers, counselors, staff, and families who continue to support strong academic opportunities and achievement at JCHS!
