Statement from the artist: Photography is my starting point, not my destination. Beginning with my own photographs taken throughout Italy, I use Photoshop as my darkroom, where the photographer and artist merge. I create and photograph richly textured acrylic surfaces, then combine them with the landscape, selectively revealing and concealing areas of the painted surface. Through this process of Paintography, I transform each photograph into a personal interpretation of the landscape, capturing the beauty, atmosphere, and my love of Italy.

Congratulations to our 2026 Summer Reading Game raffle winners JAVIER V. (Kindergarten to Grade 3) and HENRY C. (Grade 4 to Grade 8 )!!! 🥳 With summer break coming to a close, we thought it would be fun to share some of our statistics from this years Reading Game:

This year we had 228 children participate in the Summer Reading Game and 161 completed the Game! One of our Pre-K participants broke our reading log record and completed 18 logs -- that's 450 books read! Four participants in the Kindergarten to Grade 3 Game completed 4 games each -- that's 4,000 minutes or 67 hours! And last but certainly not least, one participant in our Grade 4 to Grade 8 game completed 4 logs which again, is 4,000 minutes or 67 hours!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2026 Summer Reading Game "Unearth A Story"! We can't wait for next year 🤩
