Did you know a tower ladder does much more than fight fires?

Tower 531 allows our crews to safely access multi-story buildings, perform rescues from elevated locations, provide aerial water streams, and assist with technical rescue operations.

Could you save a life in the next 60 seconds? ❤️ You never know when someone may need your help. Learning CPR is one of the most valuable skills you can have. It could mean the difference between life and death while waiting for first responders to arrive.

The good news? Monument Fire District offers CPR classes to help members of our community gain the confidence and skills to respond in an emergency. Whether you're a parent, grandparent, coach, teacher, or simply want to be prepared, we encourage you to sign up and learn this lifesaving skill.

One spark is all it takes. 🔥Proper storage saves lives. Flammable liquids should always be stored in approved safety cabinets, away from ignition sources and in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

A little prevention goes a long way.

Two young brothers making a big impact. 🧡

Colton (11) and Tyler (14) Perkins — founders of "Ugly Ducklings and Their Dog" — recently stopped by Monument Fire Station #2 to donate 3D-printed sensory kits, complete with fidget tools and non-verbal medical communication cards, for our crews to carry on their apparatus. The kits were created to give first responders another tool when working with individuals with sensory needs during emergencies.

Since 2025, the brothers have donated 700+ kits to agencies across Colorado and 6 other states — with a goal of reaching all 50. We were proud to present them with an MFD coin in thanks for their generosity and heart for our community. 👏🚒

Our idea of "taking the stairs instead of the elevator" is a little more extreme. 🪜NBD, just another day training to be at our best for our community.

📸 Meet the firefighter with an eye for more than just flames! 🔥

Meet Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Rockett. When he's not serving the Monument and Tri-Lakes community, you'll often find Michael behind the camera, pursuing his passion for photography. Whether responding to emergencies or capturing the beauty of the world around him, he brings dedication and attention to detail to everything he does.

Thank you, Michael, for your commitment to our community, both on and off duty!

A look back at where it all began.

🚒 Long before today's modern apparatus, our predecessors served the Monument and Tri-Lakes communities with equipment like this. While technology has changed over the years, our commitment to protecting this community has remained the same.

From then to now, the mission hasn't changed — just the tools we use to carry it out. Grateful for those who came before us and proud of how far we've come. 🙏
