I’m happy to report that my bill passed out of the Finance committee this morning!

While this bill won’t be a magic fix to the many issues with healthcare access and affordability, it’s something we can do to support small businesses and working people. I’m proud to sponsor this legislation and work with my colleagues Rep. Venkat, Chair Samuelson, and Senator Pisciottano to help folks across the Commonwealth.

I’m so glad I got to pop into the Dormont Library between the kids’ tee ball & softball games today for their 90th birthday celebration. Great to run into Chris (and Josh!) from borough council and so many friends from the community!

The library is such a gem -- huge props to Cindy and the staff, as well as our library board, for keeping it such an amazing place that is ALWAYS buzzing with activity!

I am so excited to welcome the second piece of district art to my office - “Small Town” by Emily Goff of Castle Shannon!

Emily had a bunch of great ideas for this piece, but I loved this view of Willow Ave because it captures the essence of Castle Shannon AND my love for public transit.

I am still on the lookout for more artists from the district - especially from Baldwin Township and Upper St. Clair - to complete our gallery of a piece of art from each community in HD42.

It was an honor to join several Memorial Day ceremonies today across the district.

First I joined the Mt. Lebanon service at the Mt. Lebanon Park War Memorial, then marched with my family in the South Hills Memorial Day Parade.

A huge thanks to Dormont Mayor Jason Walsh for taking the reins of the parade committee, and to the entire planning committee and volunteers who made the day possible. It’s an incredible event, and I was glad to run into so many friends as we came together to honor our fallen heroes.
