On Sunday August 30th, 2026, at 5:49pm Officers with the Mustang Ridge Police Department were requested to assist Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers with a vehicle pursuit of a black motorcycle within the city limits of Mustang Ridge. DPS advised that they were in pursuit of a black motorcycle south bound on US 183 passing Laws Rd. MRPD officers were in the area and immediately engaged in the vehicle pursuit where speeds reached over 90 miles per hour. The pursuit continued south on US 183 until the motorcycle turned east on E. Lone Star. The biker then turned north on US 183 and then got onto SH 130 north bound. The motorcycle was seen weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed. The pursuit then went west bound on SH 45 at which point the pursuing officers lost sight of the motorcycle, so they terminated the pursuit at approximately 5:52pm.
At approximately 5:57pm a deputy with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office located the motorcycle again on FM 1327 in the Creedmoor area. The deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle and the bike fled again. The pursuit continued east on FM 1327 until the biker turned on to Evelyn Rd. The Travis County Sheriff’s Deputy continued to pursue the motorcycle on Evelyn Rd. until it got to US 183 south bound. The biker turned north bound onto 183 in the south bound lanes. The original DPS Trooper and the MRPD officer were traveling south on US 183 as the motorcycle was traveling north. The motorcycle narrowly avoided a head on collision with the trooper and to stop an imminent threat to public safety the MRPD officer placed his unit in front of the motorcycle which caused the motorcycle to strike the front of the Mustang Ridge police car. The motorcycle rider sustained a broken arm and several other minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Troopers will be obtaining warrants for him later.
No member of the public was injured due to the swift actions of officers. This entire pursuit took less than 10 minutes and covered a large area very quickly. We are thankful that the biker was not seriously injured in the crash.

We currently have water standing on all of the major roadways. Many 18 Wheeler are pulled off to the shoulder due to poor visibility and high water. Please stay home right now if you can until the storm passes.

On Wednesday August 26th, 2026, at 11pm, Officers of the Mustang Ridge Police Department were dispatched to the Pilot Truck Stop at 10700 US 183 South NB for a disturbance. Through the initial call for service, it was determined that a truck driver assaulted a member of the Pilot staff when they asked him to move from the middle of the driveway. The truck driver was armed with a club during the commission of the assault and threatened to kill the employee. The employee was able to separate from the suspect and call 911. The truck driver then left north bound on 183 prior to officer arrival. The caller provided a description of the tractor trailer which dispatch aired out over the radio.
Another Mustang Ridge officer spotted the tractor trailer and attempted to conduct a traffic stop on it. The tractor trailer refused to stop, and a vehicle pursuit was initiated on SH 130 north bound. Units from the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and The Texas Department of Public Safety also joined in the pursuit as it continued north on SH 130. Officers utilized tire deflation devices on the tractor trailer and were successful in deflating the front passenger side tire of the tractor. Once this was accomplished the truck continued for a short distance before it came to a stop at the 18400 block of North State Highway 130 in the Pflugerville area.
The male driver of the tractor trailer would not exit the truck when initially ordered to do so. The driver side window was broken and “Pepper Balls” were deployed into the cab to get the driver to comply with commands. After several minutes the driver exited the passenger side of the truck. He was again ordered to get on the ground but refused. A Taser was deployed and he was taken into custody. The male suspect appeared to be intoxicated on unknown narcotics and as a precaution he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation. The medical staff advised he needed further medical attention and was he was admitted to the hospital for treatment.

Officer Fischer stopped a vehicle for expired registration. The driver was given a warning for the expired registration 05/26.
Driver was cited for no insurance and no Driver’s license.
