We had a GRRRREEEEAAATTTT (cue Tony the Tiger voice) day with students today! It was so refreshing to hear their voices in the hallway, see who remembered our routines, and just enjoy their presence. Tomorrow we get to see more of your faces and our hearts will be full!

NECLC staff hard at work today preparing for our students. We are engaged in play based learning to better teach and grow with our 3-5 year old students. Together we made props that can be used in our classrooms with our students.

📢 Central Elementary Update

The Nampa School District Board of Trustees has approved the temporary relocation of Central Elementary to the Centennial Learning Campus for the start of the 2026–2027 school year following the significant water damage caused by the July 17 storm during the school's roof replacement project.

To provide students and staff with consistency, Central will remain at Centennial through Christmas Break, with plans to return to the Central campus after Winter Break once repairs are complete.

Key Dates:
📅 Front Office Opens: August 3
🏫 Open House: August 10 | 5–7 p.m.
🎒 Grades 1–5 First Day: August 12
🍎 Kindergarten Orientation: August 12–13
✨ Kindergarten First Day: August 17

👀👀Look what our principal was up to this summer.

This week's NSD Summer Tale comes all the way from Hungary with NECLC's own Luisa Lowry errr now Calderon ;)

Not only did Miss Lowry get married this summer but she is currently exploring Budapest, Hungary on her honeymoon. Here she and her husband explored an ancient citadel rumored to have been established during the Roman occupation. There are records of it at least starting in the 1000s.

Nampa School District Announces Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Schools for 2026–2027

NAMPA, Idaho — The Nampa School District is pleased to announce that several schools will continue participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026–2027 school year.

Through CEP, all enrolled students at participating schools receive breakfast and lunch at no charge. Families with students attending these schools do not need to complete a household application for free or reduced-price meals.

The following schools are participating in the Community Eligibility Provision for the 2026–2027 school year:
• Central Elementary Nampa
• Endeavor Elementary
• Gateway at Snake River Learning Campus
• Iowa Elementary School
• Nampa Academy at West Learning Campus
• Nampa Early Childhood Learning Center
• Park Ridge Elementary School
• Sherman Elementary School
• Union High School at West Learning Campus

The Community Eligibility Provision helps ensure every student has access to nutritious meals throughout the school day while reducing paperwork for families.
