🎒💚 Starting the School Year with Support & Encouragement! 💚🎒

We were thrilled to be contacted by MPI Greater New York and selected as the recipient of their Community Social Responsibility Action Project!

Their incredible participants took time to fill backpacks with much-needed school supplies for our youth and created a special Shelf of Encouragement for our agency to share with our Littles. 📚✏️🎒

During the event, participants also had the opportunity to hear firsthand from one of our Bigs, Littles, and Parents about the impact mentoring has made on their lives. 💙

These thoughtful donations will help our Littles and their families start the new school year feeling prepared, supported, and encouraged.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County is honored to have been a part of Kenny's Journey in this life. As a Little Brother, Kenny brought energy and excitement to everything he explored with his Big Sister. His memory will forever be with us and we are so proud of his mom, Bernadette Perez for working with the Town of Stony Point to install Rockland's first ever Windphone in his memory and to help others who have endured loss of a loved one.

⚾💙 A Huge Thank You to the New York Boulders and Everyone Who Joined Us! 💙⚾

What an incredible evening at Boulders for Better! Thank you to the New York Boulders for partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County and helping raise awareness and support for local youth through this special community event.

We are so grateful to everyone who purchased tickets, stopped by to say hello, and spent the evening cheering alongside us. Your support helps us continue creating and supporting life-changing mentoring relationships for children throughout Rockland County.

A special thank you to the New York Boulders organization for their generosity and commitment to giving back to our community. Together, we're making a lasting impact, one child at a time.

🌿🐾 On June 10th, our agency was thrilled to celebrate one of our Little Sisters, who was selected as one of only five youth in Rockland County to receive the Eleanor Burlingham Earth Day Creative Arts Contest Award!

This year's theme encouraged participants to observe local nature and creatively express what it might be like to be an animal or tree in the county. Our Little Sister explored the contest alongside her Big Sister, who encouraged her creativity and self-expression through a story about a groundhog named Otter. 🦫💚

We are so proud of her accomplishment and grateful to the Rockland County Environmental Management Council and Ed Day for recognizing the importance of helping young people connect with and appreciate the natural world around them.

Congratulations on this well-deserved honor! 🌎✨
