Thank you so much to our friends at the VA for coming in once a month to serve breakfast with us! You all bring such an uplifting energy that is truly contagious.

These folks are always ready to lend a hand wherever it’s needed most. Today, they handed out cooling towels and reusable water bottles to help our unhoused friends stay hydrated and cool in the August heat.

We can’t thank our VA volunteers enough for all they do for our community. See you next month!

This summer we had the pleasure of hosting a Tulane student through their WaveCorps program! Adrienne was such a pleasure to have and a HUGE help during our breakfast service.

Thank you to Tulane University Center for Public Service for arranging this opportunity, we are so grateful.

Adrienne brought a great attitude to our early mornings and was focused on client-facing services, including:

🌟Assisting clients during our Meals with Love programming

As we head into August, we want to take a moment to extend our gratitude to MissionLab and to all of the wonderful volunteer groups they’ve sent our way these past few months. It’s truly inspiring to see how many folks are willing to put their lives on pause and travel here to New Orleans to serve our incredible city!

Our clients and staff have been so grateful for all the help and support we’ve received from our MissionLab volunteers, all of whom came through our doors with flexible attitudes, open hearts, and the biggest smiles.

We’ve seen so many different faces—some new to us, some familiar, all united for the same purpose: serving our most vulnerable brothers and sisters with compassion, and cultivating an atmosphere of love and hope where it’s needed most.

Thank you to those at MissionLab for all of the hard work and dedication that went into bringing these folks in to serve with us; we are so thankful for all y’all do for us and for the community!
