Trade & Investment Counsellor Mr. Adnan Mahmood Awan represented the Consulate General of Pakistan, New York, at the Flag Hoisting Ceremony held at City Hall, Jersey City, on Friday, August 14, 2026, organized by the Muslim Council of North America to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day, in partnership with the City of Jersey City.

The ceremony brought together members of the Pakistani American community from Jersey City and the tri-state area, along with a special proclamation presentation and remarks from community leaders and dignitaries, followed by the flag raising alongside the Stars and Stripes.

The Consulate General of Pakistan, New York thanks the Muslim Council of North America and the City of Jersey City for their continued warmth and partnership in celebrating Pakistan's rich heritage and the strong bonds within our diaspora community.

Pakistan Showcases Textile Excellence at Texworld New York City 2026

Texworld NYC 2026 (July 29-31), one of North America's premier textile sourcing exhibitions, was kicked off in New York at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Mr. Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, along with the Consul General of Pakistan in New York and the Trade & Investment Counsellor, New York.
The Pakistan Pavilion features five Pakistani exporters showcasing home textiles, apparel, leather garments, sportswear, gloves and textile products to international buyers. Organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with the Trade & Investment Wing, Consulate General of Pakistan, New York, the Pavilion highlights Pakistan's manufacturing excellence and export potential.
The exhibition will continue until 31 July 2026, providing an excellent platform to strengthen Pakistan's exports, connect Pakistani manufacturers with international buyers, and expand commercial partnerships in the U.S. market.

We were honored to attend the TACCI USA Strategic Partnership & MOU Signing Ceremony at the Turkish House (Türkevi) in New York, joining nearly 200 diplomats, elected officials, and business leaders.

The growing TACCI Multi-Chamber Business Alliance is a powerful example of what's possible when independent chambers and business organizations come together around shared goals — economic growth, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural collaboration.
