What a scoop! A $425 million investment is bringing more jobs, more innovation, and yes, more ice cream, to Western New York. 🍦

Wells Enterprises has opened its expanded manufacturing facility in Dunkirk, creating 270 new jobs while retaining approximately 380 existing positions. The project also adds new production capabilities and the company's first chocolate manufacturing operation to support future product innovation.

Empire State Development was proud to support this transformational investment that continues to strengthen New York's manufacturing economy.

Yesterday at Drumlins Country Club, over 770 people gathered to connect face-to-face with the decision-makers driving Central New York’s historic megaprojects.

Hosted by Empire State Development’s GO-SEMI and Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (DMWBD), attendees had the chance to meet directly with representatives from major project leaders—including Micron Technology, Bechtel Corporation, Gilbane Building, New York State Department of Transportation, DASNY - Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, OCWA - Central New York's Water Authority, and more.

Over the coming months, they’ll get an inside look at everything Central NY, the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier have to offer as they develop their businesses, build connections and prepare for the Grow-NY Summit.

And eventually, one will emerge with the $1 million top prize. 🏆
