Earlier this month, students across Newark Valley worked with Sweethearts and Heroes to create stronger connections between themselves and their school community. This week, Sgt. Rick Yarosh returned to NVMS to lead S.M.A.R.T. Circles with 4th-7th graders!

These engaging sessions focus on building empathy for fellow classmates by encouraging perspective-taking and emotional sharing, with the end-goal of improving our students' self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, social awareness, and relationship skills for stronger communities and learners!

These sessions are important for our students, helping them build a stronger community within the halls of Newark Valley Middle School!

Monday night was Induction Night for the newest members of the Newark Valley High School National Honor Society!

Eight students were formally inducted into the NHS: Shaine Anguish, Haven Aylesworth, Kaden Harrington, Andrew Jerabek, Joseph Jerabek, Tyler Thompson, Tristan Veruto, and Maria Vidovich!

By joining NHS, the students are committing to represent the high standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Congratulations to all on this accomplishment!

This Thursday, Newark Valley Middle School students had a lunch sourced from within New York State!

Through the Broome-Tioga BOCES Rock on Café's NY Thursday program, students were able to enjoy a meal of ziti and meatballs, green beans, fruits, milk, and various juices from right here in New York!

It's the final home game of the regular season for the Newark Valley volleyball team! The Cardinals are taking on Watkins Glen, and will honor their seniors before the match begins! 🏐

JV is set to begin at 5:30pm, with Varsity to follow from NVHS! Go Cardinals! 🔴⚫
