Cardinal Senior Spotlight: Nathan Hinckley

Up next in the Newark Valley Class of 2026 is Nathan Hinckley! At NVHS, Nathan was an accomplished student-athlete, playing on the Cardinal football and basketball teams!

After graduation, Nathan will look to enter the workforce, beginning work for the Highland Valley Electric Corp!

Way to go Nathan! Congrats on your graduation and best of luck as you begin your career!

Cardinal Senior Spotlight: Aubrey Kwiatkowski

NVHS' next graduating senior is Aubrey Kwiatkowski, a member of the Class of 2026 Academic Top Ten! During her time at Newark Valley, Aubrey was a member of Spanish club, the secretary of National Honors Society, and the senior class vice president. She was also an active student-athlete, representing the Cardinals in soccer, basketball, track and field, and golf!

Following high school, Aubrey will attend SUNY Broome, where she will play women's basketball for the Hornets, with the eventual goal of transferring to Binghamton University to study biology!

Aubrey says "Newark Valley didn’t just teach me how to ace a class or get a perfect score on a test, it taught me how to be a better person, someone who tries their best to be kind and to brighten other people’s day. For that I will be forever grateful."

Congratulations Aubrey! Best of luck as your continue both your academic and athletic careers at SUNY Broome!

Cardinal Senior Spotlight: Ryan Bohne

Our next graduating senior is Ryan Bohne! During his time at Newark Valley High School, Ryan participated in New Visions!

After graduation, Ryan will continue his education at Messiah University in Pennsylvania. While there, he plans on studying mechanical engineering!

With the school year coming to a close, the 3rd grade students at Nathan T. Hall are officially done with their time in elementary school! On Tuesday, the school recognized the 3rd graders as they plan to move to Newark Valley Middle School! 🎓

Cardinal Senior Spotlight: Raven Hartman

Next up in the NVHS Class of 2026 is Raven Hartman! At Newark Valley, Raven participated in multiple extracurriculars! As a member of the bowling team, Raven qualified for the NYSPHSAA state tournament! They were also a member of the Art Club, Gamers Club, and Valley Masquers!

Following high school, Raven will head north to New England, where they will attend the Maine College of Art & Design, with a focus on illustration!

When asked about how Newark Valley prepared them for the future, Raven said "meeting friends that have taught me how to be a better person!"

Congratulations Raven! Best of luck as you head to Maine to continue your education!

Cardinal Senior Spotlight: Zephyr Hall

Our next graduating senior in the Class of 2026 is Zephyr Hall! During their time at Newark Valley, Zephyr was active in the arts, participating in musicals, band, & chorus. Through the music program, they participated in All-County and NYSSMA Solofest.

After graduation, Zephyr will look to continue their academic career at Tompkins Cortland Community College, with the goal of transferring to a four-year university with a Music Theater major!

When asked about their time at Newark Valley, Zephyr said "school has helped me to communicate better, given me money management skills, and prepared me for taxes!"

Congrats on your graduation Zephyr! We wish you the best as you keep up your studies at TC3!

Cardinal Senior Spotlight: Abby Benjamin

Next up in the senior class of 2026 is Abby Benjamin! At NVHS, Abby was a member of Art Club, Gaming Club, and Valley Masquers. Abby also competed in SkillsUSA in the masonry category, taking home the New York State gold medal for two years in a row, earning the opportunity to compete at the national level!

After high school, Abby will look to continue utilizing her skills in masonry by pursuing a career in the in-demand trade!

Reflecting on her schooling, Abby said "Newark Valley made me a lot more prepared for the social part of working."

Congratulations on graduating Abby! Best of luck as you pursue your career in masonry!

Cardinal Senior Spotlight: Stormi Wiley

Our next graduating senior is Stormi Wiley! Stormi was active in multiple extracurriculars during her school career, participating in YESS Club, playing for the Cardinals bowling team, and volunteering her time for Toys for Tots through Visions FCU!

Following graduation, Stormi will look to keep up her studies by attending SUNY Broome with a focus on business!

When asked about her time at Newark Valley, Stormi said "I did the Visions Internship through the school and fell in love with the idea of marketing through Mrs. Darcy's class. I learned marketing is what I want to do in the future!"

Congratulations Stormi! We wish you good luck as you head to SUNY Broome and chase your goals!
