The dedicated volunteers of UDECU pride themselves in handling any situation that may arise. In addition to handling 911 emergencies, UDECU's ambulance and EMS Bike Team can be observed providing EMS coverage at special events held on campus, such as university sporting events, commencement ceremonies and concerts. UDECU members distinguish themselves by having an EMS display during several public events such as the annual Newark Community Day, Student Activities Night, National EMS Week, and other. The Emergency Care Unit is also among the short list of EMS agencies that are requested to stand by at events like the Delaware State Fair, the Delaware Special Olympics Games, and the famous NASCAR races at Dover Downs. UDECU is made up of approximately fifty undergraduate students with diverse majors and backgrounds, all with a common goal: serving our community. This year, UDECU celebrated its 45th year of operation!

We are so happy to celebrate these successes in UDECU's 50th year!

If you are able, come donate to our Thanksgiving Food Drive to give back to the community!

Huge thank you to Leah for setting this up!

When UDECU member, Leah, proposed the idea of collaborating for a great cause, we joined right in! Times are hard for many people throughout our state and country, and we are asking for your help to ease the burden on many to help put food on the table! From now until 11/21 we will be collecting non perishable foods at UDPD HQ lobby or swing by UDECU headquarters at 184 South Chapel Street to drop off.
