🦸‍♂️ Not all superheroes wear capes… some wear a headset and jump into the pool! 💦

A huge shoutout to one of our BODYCOMBAT instructors Dave for coming to the rescue and covering multiple classes over the past two weeks, helping ensure our members never missed a workout. He brought the energy and excitement of BODYCOMBAT to the pool, creatively adapting the workout to fit the aquatic environment while delivering a fun and challenging experience for participants.

Catch Dave one more time tomorrow at 9:00 AM in the Indoor Pool for Aqua Kickboxing. Be sure to join him and help us thank him for his incredible support of our Western YMCA community! 💙💪

🚨 Indoor Pool Closure Update – Tuesday, June 2 🚨

Due to ongoing unexpected visibility issues, our indoor pool will remain closed for the remainder of this evening. We understand this may be disappointing and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue and ensure a safe swimming environment for all members.

🏊 Swim Lesson Families:
All swim lessons scheduled for tonight have been canceled. A makeup lesson has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 14, at your regularly scheduled lesson time. Families enrolled in lessons should have received an email with additional details.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Our first-ever Western Family YMCA Pickleball Tournament yesterday was a great success, even with some challenging windy conditions! 💨🏓

Despite the gusty weather, players battled through every serve, volley, and rally to make our inaugural tournament one to remember. We were blown away by the sportsmanship, energy, and community spirit displayed throughout the day.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, including NKS Distributors, Jimmy’s Concrete, RBC Wealth Management, Lang Cares Foundation, Newark Toyota World, FH Financial House, Rise PT, First State Orthopedics, and JOOLA, and all of our volunteers, donors and supporters who helped make this event possible. Your generosity helped us raise funds for the YMCA Annual Campaign, allowing us to continue strengthening our community through programs, services, and financial assistance.

Congratulations to all of our participants, volunteers, and medal winners. Thank you for helping make the day such a memorable event. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Please note that the Western Outdoor Complex Pool will remain CLOSED on Monday, 5/25.

🏊‍♂️ The outdoor 10-lane pool WILL be open from 7:00 AM–11:00 AM for lap swim and open swim!
