I am Nirav Sheth. I am a proud American, a Marine Corps veteran, a former police officer, and an entrepreneur managing multi-million-dollar businesses that provide real jobs for our community. I have spent my life serving and building up our society.
My opponent, Representative Pramila Jayapal, has a different set of priorities. While she promotes a socialist agenda, she consistently prioritizes the needs of illegal immigrants over our own people—including the citizens, permanent residents, and legal visa holders who actually pay the taxes that keep this country running.
Look at what she chooses to focus on. Earlier this year, she traveled to Cuba to complain about their oil and energy shortages. Meanwhile, right here at home, she supports state Democrats as their policies—like the Climate Commitment Act and soaring gas taxes—add over a dollar extra to every gallon of fuel, driving up inflation and crushing working families.
The list of her priorities goes on and on, and shockingly little of it has to do with protecting our own country or uplifting our own citizens.
It begs the question: Why is she in office? Why is she collecting a taxpayer-funded salary from the U.S. government when her focus is everywhere but here? Who exactly does she represent? If her record doesn't open your eyes to the need for change, nothing will

Birthright citizenship should never be a loophole for 'birth tourism.' When travelers come here solely to deliver a baby and immediately leave—contributing zero in taxes and bypassing all civic responsibilities—it makes a mockery of our laws. It is a direct slap in the face to the hardworking immigrants who wait decades on work visas or green cards, paying taxes and building our communities. Earning the title of American Citizen is a profound privilege. It belongs to those who actually live here, work here, and seek legitimate refuge here—not to travelers looking to scam the system. I have personally seen this happen throughout my lifetime.

For Democratic Washington politicians, "Tax the Rich" is nothing but a tired slogan meant to mask their own failures—and it is driving wealth and opportunity straight out of our state. Look at the reality in our State of Washington : nearly a billion dollars spent every year for the last half-decade to fight homelessness, and our streets are worse than ever. While hardworking taxpayers foot the bill, non-profit executives are lining their pockets with $340,000 salaries. We do not have a revenue crisis in this state; we have a radical spending crisis. Can someone—anyone—explain to Rep. Pramila Jayapal how a real business works? You cannot fix a broken government by draining the private sector.

Two days ago I finished a roundtable with Rep. Pramila Jayapal at The Stranger, and what I heard was deeply concerning. Rep. Jayapal has made her priorities clear: pushing a national progressive agenda matters more to her than the survival of our local communities.
Right now, Washington’s 7th District is bleeding. We are facing unprecedented job loss, an out-of-control fentanyl crisis, a housing emergency, and skyrocketing crime. Yet, when I brought these issues up, even the staff at The Stranger asked why a candidate for federal office cares about local problems. My response? True leadership starts at home.
You can’t fix America if you let your own district fall apart. I am Washington First and America Focused. I will never treat the people of District 7 as an afterthought to a national political platform. Just look at the current state of Seattle—it is the perfect example of what happens when politicians forget who elected them

We are pouring tens of billions of taxpayer dollars into Sound Transit light rail infrastructure, but right now, we are failing to maximize that massive investment. We don't just need trains; we need a return on our investment that actually improves our quality of life.

As your next Congressman, I will push to tie federal transportation budgets directly to housing production. By partnering with private developers, we can build 20-story residential buildings strictly within a 5-block radius of major light rail stations—reserving the bottom 3-4 floors for community use.

Most importantly, this means we do not need to rezone the rest of the city. Our single-family neighborhoods define the unique, historic character of Seattle, and they should be kept exactly as they are. It is time for smart, targeted density and real fiscal accountability.

Big tech is taking over our grid. With over 120 data centers already in Washington, a recent proposal for just five more would devour 370 MW—a third of Seattle’s daily power usage. On top of that, these facilities evaporate up to 85% of the water they draw, permanently draining our freshwater supply. After big tech defeated state ratepayer protection bills (HB 2515), they left working families to foot the bill for expensive emergency power. State politics failed us, which is why you need a fighter in D.C. As your next Congressman, I will protect your utility bills over corporate profits. No more blank checks for big tech.

Our Second Amendment rights are a cornerstone of the American Constitution. In Congress, I will be an unwavering defender of the rights of law-abiding citizens to protect themselves and their families. Unfortunately, my opponent supports broad gun control (specially for rifles) measures that target legal gun owners, while offering zero solutions to address the illicit weapons driving violent crime. Rather than compromising the liberties of everyday Americans, my priority is to fully fund and empower law enforcement to dismantle the gangs and drug networks responsible for illegal gun violence in our communities. True public safety requires going after the criminals, not the Constitution

We are two months into this campaign, and I want to directly address something I occasionally hear on the trail. Some people have told me, "I will not support you because you were not born here."
I just want to say one thing in response: At least I am not going to the U.S. Congress to focus on solving issues for other nations like my opponent. My mission is entirely focused here at home.
I swore an oath to this country, built my businesses here, and am dedicated to bringing Real Solutions to the everyday challenges facing our district.
I may have been born in India, but I am undeniably Made in America. 🇺🇸 Nirav Sheth

My name is Nirav Sheth and I'm running for US Congress to represent the frustrated Seattle-Area citizens by working on the Washington First issues that matter to us! My campaign is a commitment to push forward rational radical solutions including:

3 Strikes You Receive 6 Months of Involuntary Rehab: When I get to US Congress I will be tireless in my pursuit of funding to get those suffering on our streets into rehabilitation that saves lives. We need politicians that understand cycling those through addiction on our streets IS NOT MORAL!

Rezoning and making permitting fast for 20 Story Buildings within 5 blocks of the light rail. We've spent billions but haven't up zoned. When I'm in US Congress I'll make sure transportation dollars are used to encourage this much needed investment. Developers will donate bottom floor retail for low cost leases and floors 1-3 for the public good; in return floors 4-20 will be market rate housing and rent to own units! We need public +private partnerships to build density where it makes sense, while preserving the single family neighborhoods that make Seattle special.

No Cover Show Grants: We have more funding for the arts in the United States & King County than almost anywhere else on earth. Our cities should be filled with free, live music every night in all the cities in our district. I will push for better use of dollars in US Congress and in our local community to get musicians playing in our bars and parks!
