Attention North Chicago Residents-
Phase 1 of the City of North Chicago’s Lead Service Line Replacement Project identified approximately 60 properties requiring water service line replacements.

To date, Five Star Infrastructure has completed approximately 40 service line replacements. Their paving and landscaping crews are currently working to restore the areas affected by construction, including patching the roads and hydroseeding disturbed parkway areas between the curb and sidewalk.

If your property had a water service line replaced and you now have a newly seeded area in your parkway, please help the grass get established by lightly watering the area in the evening. Grass should begin to grow within 7–10 days, and regular watering will help it establish more quickly.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue this essential infrastructure project. These improvements will help provide cleaner and safer drinking water for North Chicago residents.
