The Coaches Award recognizes an athlete who exemplifies dedication, leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to their team and sport. Bryce’s hard work and perseverance in the throwing circle and his positive impact on the Scituate Track & Field program make him truly deserving of this honor.

The Scituate booster club and the entire Scituate athletic community would like to congratulate Coach Jena Remka on being named the Division IV Girls Lacrosse Coach of the Year! Jena is more than a coach, she is a teacher, a friend, and ally to all her students. She goes above and beyond everyday, and manages to juggle coaching, teaching, planning and running school events and creating safe spaces for her students while also being mom to her two young children. Jena embodies what it means to be a Spartan, and helps foster and create the environment Scituate is known for. Her dedication and positivity has echoed to her athletes, who have had incredible success while she has led. Congratulations Jena! We are so very proud of you and feel so lucky to have you! 💙

Capped off an exciting two days with a 7th-place finish in Shot Put at New Englands! 💙💪🏻

Not too bad for little old Scituate High School.

Valentina's drive, determination, and work ethic continue to inspire everyone around her. We couldn't be prouder of all she's accomplished this season!

A HUGE thank you to Mr. Kelly and Mr. Murphy—two incredible coaches who even dragged their wives to Maine and spent the entire day cheering her on. Your support means the world!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The Spartans wrapped up an outstanding weekend at the RIIL State Championships, competing against the best athletes in Rhode Island and representing Scituate with pride!

🥈 Valentina Mancini led the way with a 2nd Place finish in Shot Put, launching a throw of 39' 5.25" (PR). She also competed in the Hammer Throw, placing 13th with a distance of 133' 1".

💪 Bryce Edwards represented the Spartans in Shot Put, placing 14th with a throw of 44' 0.25".

🏃 Judah Machado battled in a talented field in the 400 Meter Dash, finishing 11th with a time of 51.74.

🏃‍♀️ Chatham Wood competed in two events, placing 12th in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:01.39 and 14th in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 26.69.

Congratulations to all of our state qualifiers on an incredible season and for representing Scituate Track & Field at the highest level. We are proud of your hard work, dedication, and accomplishments!

The Lady Spartans continue to battle as we head into the final frame, trailing the Lions 9 to 2. While the scoreboard may not be in our favor at the moment, this team is showing absolutely no signs of defeat. 💙🤍

Their determination, hustle, and fight have been on full display all game long, and the energy from the stands remains electric thanks to the incredible support from our friends, families, students, and community! 📣👏

DIVISION 4 CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE!

The Lady Spartans came out firing and grabbed an early lead, but after one quarter they trail the Lions 3-1 in a defensive battle.

The energy is incredible as friends, family, alumni, and the student body have shown up in full force to support our Spartans! 🤍

Plenty of lacrosse left to play, and the Lady Spartans are ready to keep fighting! Let's hear it for our girls as they battle for the championship! 📣🏆

SCITUATE SPARTANS 15 ROGERS 4

The wait is over. The mission is complete.

One year after falling short on this very stage, the Spartans returned with a purpose and left no doubt. Through hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and an unbreakable bond, this team finished what they started and brought home the 2026 RIIL Division IV State Championship!

From the opening faceoff, Scituate controlled the game, building an early lead and never looking back. This wasn't just a championship performance—it was the culmination of countless hours in the weight room, on the practice field, and playing for each other.

To our seniors: thank you for building a culture that future Spartans will strive to uphold.

To our coaches: thank you for your leadership, commitment, and belief in these young men.

To our families, alumni, students, and community: thank you for packing the stands and supporting this team every step of the way.

Tonight, the Spartans are champions.
