At 0152 hours this morning, Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Coventry to assist with a house fire on Audubon Lane. The driver of Tanker 61 remained with the truck and assisted with a tanker shuttle operation while the remaining crew assisted with overhaul and extinguishment.

7 members responded and operated on scene for 4 hours while 2 additional members remained at Station 60 for district coverage.

This is the second working structure fire we have responded to and operated at in the last 24 hours in addition to an EMS call and a gas leak.

Please keep all those impacted by this morning’s incident in your thoughts and prayers. We extend our heartfelt condolences to those affected during this difficult time.

At 1630 hours today, Tanker 61 and Engine 62 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester to assist with a working structure fire on Shaw Road.

Tanker 61 assisted with the tanker shuttle operation while members from Engine 62 assisted with overhaul and extinguishment.

6 members responded and operated on the scene for 2 hours while 4 additional members remained at Station 60 for district coverage.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected.

Huge thanks to our friends at Ted's Auto and Rust Repair in Smithfield!! Recently, while repairing some wiring, we discovered some rot that had begun to show itself on the driver side floor board/rocker panel. Ted’s helped us out with repairs, keeping our 1999 F-550 in the game!

At 0317 hours this morning, all Scituate Stations with Rescue 2 were dispatched to Talbut Road for a reported house fire...

At 0317 hours this morning, all Scituate Stations with Rescue 2 were dispatched to Talbut Road for a reported house fire. Tanker 61, Brush 63, and Unit 68 responded.

First arriving companies from Hope & Jackson Fire Company transmitted a code red and reported a well involved 2 story wood frame dwelling with all occupants evacuated.

Due to structural collapses that had occurred prior to arrival of the fire department, members operated exterior only.

13 members from Chopmist Hill responded and operated on the scene for 4 hours.

Scituate - Engine 41, Engine 52, Tanker 61, Brush 63, Unit 68, Unit 58
Coventry - Engine 4, Engine 7, Quint 1, Rescue 4, Car 61
Cranston - Engine 5, Battalion 2

Last evening, Brush 63 and Tanker 61 responded mutual aid to the Town of Glocester to assist with a 4 acre brush fire on Willie Woodhead Road. 8 members responded and 3 remained for district coverage.

Tanker 61 and Brush 63 also responded to assist Glocester with a similar sized brush fire on Wednesday, April 13th on Saw Mill Road. 6 members responded to this incident with 9 remaining for district coverage.

As always, please check Rhode Island Division of Forest Environment, Wildland Fire Control for the fire danger level or call your local fire house prior to any open burning.
