New Grantee Video! In late 2025, MTF's Community Service Award to Oakland Communities United for Equity and Justice wrapped up their one-year project, “JUSTtouch: Community Access to Sustainable Healing.” Through the project, a supervising massage therapist and students from the National Holistic Institute (NHI) provided weekly chair massage pop-ups for severe low-income and individuals of color experiencing homelessness. Come to the Vallejo JFK Library for a community breakfast and a powerful look into the legacy of the Black Panther Party. After the presentation, we’ll roll up our sleeves for a hands-on writing and illustration workshop inspired by the Panther newspaper, celebrating Black grassroots journalism, creativity, and collective voice.
