In case you missed yesterday's broadcast from about the 9-1-1 outage this week.

A faulty switch caused a 911 routing disruption across Oklahoma, affecting 73 emergency call centers and rerouting calls to distant dispatchers for several hours.

10:50 p.m. Update: We have confirmed that 911 service is restored.

The State Emergency Operations Center is aware of the ongoing AT&T issues affecting 911 calls in the state.

Portions of the state are currently affected by a 911 routing issue that began at approximately 4 p.m. today. The issue is causing some 911 calls to be misrouted to other parts of the state. 911 centers were notified and began transferring calls to the appropriate call centers as needed. At approximately 4:20 p.m., incoming calls were routed to the proper call center using predetermined 10 digit telephone lines. When calling 911 please be prepared to provide your location and telephone number.

Calls to 911 are still being answered, but if you experience trouble, please check with your local emergency management, police, fire, or 911 center for an alternate phone number for your area. Many local jurisdictions are posting back-up numbers on their page, X account, or website.

We are in close contact with our 911 partners and have not received any assistance requests from local jurisdictions.

Almost 10 years ago the Oklahoma 911 Management Authority started work on the first Statewide, locally managed, GIS data set that includes Address points and Street data. Until now this level of data did not exist.
Last week CallOkie811 provided an update to their move to this publicly accessible data (via okmaps) and how this has saved time, property damage and injury. Google and Apple are also using this data to strengthen their data also.
