PART TIME OFFICERS

Old Forge Borough Police Department is accepting application for Part-Time Police Officers. Applications can be picked from the hours of 09:00-17:00 hrs. Monday through Friday at the Borough Building or by contacting the Old Forge Police Department via Email: [email protected].

All applicants must have the following:

• 21 years of age
• Completed a police academy (ACT 120)
• Valid Pennsylvania Class C operating driver’s license.
• Good moral character and must pass a criminal background
Investigation
• Pay is $30.00 an hour Flexible Hours Nights, Weekends &
Holidays
• Clothing allowance after 2 years of service
• Paid Trainings
• Paid OT for Holidays
• Extra Duty and Special duties available

Some property has been recovered from the auto break-ins that occurred in Old Forge and Taylor on January 25th. The property is located at the Old Forge Police Station. If you had property stolen please call the station at 570-457-7441 and leave your name, number and a detailed description of the property and an officer will call you back.

Officers are investigating a string of car break ins and stolen vehicles. If your vehicle was broken into or missing. Please contact the Old Forge Police Department at 570-342-9111 or 570-457-7441.

Members of the Old Forge Police Department would like to offer our deepest condolences to the members and families of the South Abington and Carbondale Police Departments for their recent loss of two officers.

Traffic alert:

Today from approximately 11:30 to 12:30 the area from Dunn Ave. To Grace St will be closed down in areas for Snow Forge Jingle Jog.

Then Main Street and Moosic Rd intersection to Grace St. will closed from 11-6:00pm for festivities taking place at Snow Forge beginning at 1pm.

We kindly ask that if you have to travel in this area to use caution due to heavy amounts of pedestrian traffic and traffic back ups. If you need to use another route, Oak St to Marion St by the high school to W. Grace St. Is the alternate route. Also, Drake's Ln. to Oak St. will be open for all traffic for another route.
