📚🚌 HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL! 🍎✏️

The first day of school is here, Old Town! We want to wish all of our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe, successful, and exciting school year! 💙

To our students, learn lots, make new memories, be kind, and most importantly, have fun!

🚍 Please remember to watch for school buses, slow down in school zones, and keep an extra eye out for children walking and biking to school.

Crews have just returned from this structure fire on Woodland Ave. Initial crew was able to make a quick attack and kept the fire to the roof of the building. We would like to extend a big thank you to University Volunteer Ambulance Corps (UVAC), Old Town Fire Rescue, Orono Fire Department and Orono Police Department for helping with our new PSA. Our new video will focus on the importance of driving carefully around crash sites and hearing the voices of those workers. Emergency workers are put at risk when responding to calls and are often exposed and put in vulnerable locations when providing emergency care. We look forward to sharing the new video in the upcoming weeks. Always and .

Center Street in Old Town is back open. Thank you to Versant, Unitil, Old Town Public Works, and Old Town Water District for their timely response and hard work getting things cleaned up.

Crews are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Center Street near Sixth Street. The road has been temporarily shut down. Traffic will need to find an alternate route.
