PACE - Police Athletics for Community Engagement

PACE - Police Athletics for Community Engagement The P.A.C.E. program started in 2005 by the Latino Peace Officers Association in conjunction with the Police Athletic League and volunteers.

PACE is a non-profit organization staffed by dedicated officers and volunteers, committed to preventing at-risk inner-city youth from becoming involved in gang violence. The program is dedicated to preventing “at risk”, inner-city children from becoming involved in gangs, crime and drug use. It provides an opportunity to develop discipline, self-esteem and positive moral values through wholesome c

ompetition. Donations fund equipment purchases, field maintenance, and uniforms. Every penny of your donation goes towards this LOCAL program. Because of sponsor support, these services have been provided at no cost to all participants. This program is not only a constructive outlet for the children to be involved in, but it also gives them a sense of pride and what it means to be part of a team. This is a great program for children who would not be able to afford participation in other sports leagues/clubs.

National Night Out - Weather Update:

We will be hosting our National Night Out Event at Christie Heights tonight rain or shine!

If the weather does not clear, we will move our event indoors. This will change the activities scheduled for youth to more basketball and volleyball centered activities. In this scenario, food would still be served in the cafeteria.

We hope to see everyone tonight either way!

Our event will run 6pm-8:30pm.
Food service will start at 6:30.

Red Flames are the Champions of the 14-18 Year Old Boys Bob Campos Division! We had so much interest in the 14-18 year old boys age group that we had to open up a third division and find other fields. (Too many registrants - that’s the best kind of problems to have!) Way to go finalists! They showed up all summer and worked hard.

THE BEGINNING OF AN ERA! PACE World Cup and OHA-SFA Panthers are the Champions of the 14-18 year old Girls JV and Varsity divisions, respectively. This is the second ever year of the GIRLS ONLY high school soccer league at PACE. In 2025, these girls told us that there were very few options for teenagers (let alone teenage girls!) to play soccer if they couldn’t afford club or if they were just starting out in the sport. Most affordable athletics end at 8th grade. We are so proud of them for advocating for themselves, showing up, inviting friends and making this league their own.
