Final Day of the Sutton Cleanup!

We’re still hard at work on the final day of the Sutton Cleanup, and the crew is making incredible progress. With the help of volunteers, heavy equipment operators, and truck drivers, we’re continuing to remove large amounts of garbage and debris from the community.

These photos show just a small part of today’s effort. From old appliances and scrap metal to piles of discarded trash, we’re tackling some of the toughest cleanup sites and loading out material that has been sitting for years.

A huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered their time, equipment, and energy throughout this week. The community support has been outstanding, and the results speak for themselves.

But we’re not done yet! Stay tuned for final numbers and a full recap once today’s work is complete.

Sutton is looking better every day because of all of you. Thank you for being part of the effort!

Day 3 of the Sutton Cleanup

We’re back at it for Day 3 of the Sutton Cleanup and making great progress, but we still need more helping hands! Volunteers are welcome to join us as we continue cleaning up the neighborhood and hauling out trash.

We could especially use someone with a large dump truck to help move larger loads and speed up the cleanup effort. Every bit of help makes a difference.

Thank you to everyone who has come out so far to support the cleanup and help keep Sutton beautiful!

Day 2 of the Sutton Cleanup
More than 70 volunteers came out to help. The weather was beautiful, and together we removed thousands of pounds of garbage from the neighborhood.

A huge thank you to Save AK Spots for stepping up and making a real difference right here in our community! Their dedicated volunteers came together to clean up Zero Lake Road, north of Houston, helping restore this beautiful area for everyone to enjoy.
In partnership with the Mat-Su Borough CLEANS Program staff, the transformation is clear. What was once impacted has now been revitalized into a cleaner, more welcoming space.
