Our SWAT team is comprised of 26 total members and represents the Central Region of the Southwest Enforcement Bureau.

Included in the total are 19 SWAT operators, 4 tactical EMS members, and 3 auxiliary members.

Join us for a great day at West Creek Reservation dedicated to supporting the overall health and well-being of our veterans and first responders, active and retired. The Legacy of Courage event is made possible through a partnership with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Come enjoy the outdoors with a hike, ruck, or run. Connect with others and take time to focus on your physical, mental, and overall wellness. It's a great opportunity to recharge, build community, and celebrate those who have given so much in service to others. This is a free event with food and beverages provided.

If you are a practitioner of Integrative or Holistic Health, such as Massage Therapy, Tai Chi, Meditation, Chiropractic Care, or other, and would like to showcase your area of expertise, products, or services, we would love to have you join us. Yesterday, the Parma SWAT Team and the Parma Police Department had the honor of helping make a special birthday a little more memorable.
We were proud to welcome a remarkable young man, RJ Ahlers, who is living with two very rare conditions (Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum and Tetrasomy 9p Mosaic Syndrome). Only 35 people in the world have this combination of congenital and chromosomal conditions. It was a privilege to celebrate his birthday, spend time together, show him around, and share a day filled with smiles and laughter.
Thank you to RJ and his family for allowing us to be a part of such a special day. Your strength, courage, and positive spirit are truly inspiring.
From all of us at the Parma SWAT Team and Parma Police Department, Happy Birthday! We hope this visit brought you as much joy as it brought us. We look forward to seeing you again.🎉

A few recent training photos to share.
The team is fortunate to have access to Tri-C's Tactical Training Village. The house is equipped with some furniture and movable wall panels to alter the layout. It is great for room clearing and barricaded subjects. During these recent scenarios, we cross-trained with a few of our K9 Officers on subject control and room searches. We had some fun with AI and spruced up the one photo 🙃😀

The second portion of the photos is the Draco Gas Delivery System. This multi-use tool is for the safe delivery of command-initiated chemicals (v***r and smoke) and noise flash diversion devices. The Draco attaches to the Bearcat's front boom and can pe*****te most structures and vehicles. The Draco is also equipped with a high-pressure air unit to ensure that chemical agents are dispersed throughout a structure.

We appreciate all of you and enjoy speaking with you during community events when we can bring Bearcat for you to explore. Be sure to stop by and chat with us at this year's Safety Fair on August 15th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Justice Center parking lot.
