Under God Ministries, dba: 7th Street Food Pantry and Outreach, is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 2016. It was birthed from the hearts of a husband and wife team, Pastors Matt & Ginger McLamb, who had a heart for those that suffered heartache and poverty. The Lord slowly, over a few months, prepared their hearts, opened doors and dropped manna from Heaven into their hands. In Sept

ember 2015 a lady stopped into Matt’s business, Buy Rite Tires and Auto Center and asked if he would be able to give away Sandwiches, Salads and Quesadillas from QT to the homeless and hungry in the area. His little refrigerator was full of these scrumptious delicacies and he passed them out to many grateful people. In October Matt’s landlord at the tire shop approached him about opening a food pantry in a building he owned 2 doors away from the tire shop that had previously been a liquor store. He said that Satan had used that building to serve liquor to the community for 45 years and God was telling him that Pastors Matt and Ginger needed to open a ministry in that building to serve Jesus, instead of alcohol and to fill the bellies of those hungry with food and their spirits and souls with Jesus. The wheels started turning and in January they received their first load of food for the giant walk-in cooler. In January, they started taking food twice a month to the Victory House (home for disabled and homeless Vets) and a low income Senior Center, as well as having open air Farmer’s Markets for people to come get food. At the end of February of 2016 they started passing out their first food boxes. From February 28, 2016 to the middle of September 2016, the 7th Street Food Pantry and Outreach has served approximately 25,500 people with food. Of that figure approximately 13,000 people were served thru the food boxes which had 3-4 meals for each person in the family. 7,400 children were served through food sent to schools to feed children that don’t have much to eat at home. 971 Veterans and 657 Senior Citizens were served through the program. This was only possible because of highly diverse, exceptionally gifted, God filled and compassionate Board of Directors; selfless volunteers; and extremely generous donors. By God’s Grace, we are changing the atmosphere in this area of South Phoenix by reflecting God’s love. Our Mission Statement is to meet the needs of the Homeless, Veterans, Seniors, Low Income Individuals and Families in our community to help ease the struggle with hunger and hopelessness.

At the end of February of 2016 they started passing out their first food boxes. F From February 28, 2016 to the end of December 2017, the 7th Street Food Pantry and Outreach served over 461,000 meals. Of that figure, there were approximately 270,000 served by food boxes; 118,000 meals targeted to outreaches such as Veterans and Seniors; 28,000 Emergency Meals; 17,000 meals for Outreaches where others pick up food; 26,000 meals to the local schools; 11,000 bag lunches for the homeless; and 2,400 holiday meals.
