We were honored to welcome Senator Ruben Gallego to our Phoenix office this afternoon! ๐Ÿ’œ Senator Gallego has been a strong champion for the Alzheimer's community, cosponsoring the bipartisan ASAP Act โ€” legislation that would expand Medicare coverage for early, blood-based Alzheimer's detection tests. Early detection means more time for families to plan, seek treatment, and access the care they need. Thank you, Senator Gallego, for standing with the more than 7 million Americans living with Alzheimer's and their families.

Today, our Phoenix office welcomed Donna McCullough, Chief Operating Officer of the Alzheimer's Association, for a conversation with our staff and volunteers. ๐Ÿ’œ

We spent the time looking ahead together and talking about how our work here in Phoenix connects to the bigger picture, and what the next 10 years can look like as we move closer to a world free of Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

That future isn't built by one office or one team, it's built by staff and volunteers across the country, showing up every day for the families we serve through care and support, research, advocacy, and education.

We're grateful for the visit, and energized for what's ahead. Thank you to everyone who makes this mission possible. ๐Ÿ’œ

Celebrating 3 years of progress with the Maricopa County BOLD initiative!

Together with Maricopa County Public Health, we're building a stronger dementia-capable community. Highlights from Year 3:

๐Ÿ“‹ Published the county's ADRD Strategic Plan
๐Ÿง  Advanced brain health messaging on modifiable risk factors like hearing loss and cholesterol
๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ Trained primary care providers, law enforcement, and community health workers on dementia care
๐Ÿ“š Expanded caregiver resources โ€” including new Memory Care Kits for libraries and an ADRD resource page

Thank you to our coalition partners and Maricopa County DPH for three years of incredible progress. Onward to Year 4! ๐Ÿ’œ
