Honoring a Legacy of Love in Guatemala 🕊️💙

Today we hold space for a beloved friend and ministry partner in Guatemala, Pastor Neri Flores, who spent decades of his life pouring into the children of his community. Pastor Neri was a steady source of love for generations of kids in Escuintla, Guatemala.

His impact will echo for years to come in the lives he shaped, the hope he modeled, and the faith he lived out every single day.

We’re asking our H4KI community to join us in praying for his family during this time of loss, and for the children in the after school program in Escuintla who are grieving alongside them.

We’re grateful to share that his daughter, Ivett, is stepping forward to carry his work into the future, continuing to serve and love the kids in Escuintla with the same heart her father modeled for so long, with the help of her mother, sister, and nieces. Meet Patricia!

Every step she has taken through school has been possible because one person believed in her,
her sponsor. Today, Patricia is a student in Uganda studying to become a nurse and midwife. In
her own words:

"...every step I have taken in school has been possible because you believed in me. You gave me hope when my dreams would have ended. My dream is to become an excellent senior midwife
who will treat every patient with dignity and kindness. When the dream comes true, your
generosity will be part of every life touch. Your investment is not only helping one student, it is
giving hope to countless mothers, babies, and families that I will care for throughout my career."

Our ministry partner and friend, Amar Bista of WIN, has been on the ground since the very beginning in Nepal, leading search and rescue efforts, opening his own home to families who lost everything, and helping survivors find their way back to remote mountain villages that are barely reachable.

He's now shifted into recovery work, walking alongside a community that is grieving and rebuilding at the same time. Check out his interview with CNN, here! 🎥
