🙌The Allegheny County Library Association is excited to launch a new collection - memory kits - designed for patrons with dementia, Alzheimer's and other memory disorders and their caregiver or loved ones. The goals of the memory kits are to foster meaningful communication, spark memories and bring joy to caregiver and loved one. The collection includes more than 20 themes and we will highlight each one here.

Theme: Childhood Memories (1950s-1960s)

Goal: To prompt memories of childhood through popular books and toys from that generation, as well as discussion questions and other activities.

Kit Contents: set of Hot Wheels cars 🏎️, Etch-A-Sketch, Baby Boomer Trivia book, The Snowy Day WonderBook ❄️, Charlotte's Web WonderBook 🕸️, View Finder and slides, caregiver guide
