Join us Tuesday June 16 at 6pm for an evening of history, industry, and stories that shaped our city.

Historian Edward K. Muller, professor emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh and historian Rob Ruck, professor of history at the University of Pittsburgh explore Pittsburgh Rising: From Frontier Town to Steel City 1750-1920, a powerful look at how Pittsburgh transformed from a frontier settlement into an industrial giant.

Don't miss this compelling conversation about Pittsburgh's past and what it reveals about our present.

This program is at CLP Main in the South Wing Reading Room and is part of America250PA programming.

We’d love for you to join us on June 13th from 2 to 3:30 pm to discover some of the artwork and illustrations in our archives and special collections, whether you’re looking for creative inspiration or would just like to learn more. We’ll also have materials on hand to make colorful collages using images from our collections! This program is for adults and will take place on the third floor of CLP-Main. ✨🎨👩‍🎨✨

Pictured here is a pochoir plate from architect turned Art Deco artist Serge Gladky’s portfolio, Nouvelles Compositions Décoratives, ca. 1930 (and a staff-made collage for inspiration!)
