Congratulations to the Warsaw Jazz Bands on their outstanding performances this past weekend. Jazz 2 had an excellent performance and scored a 93.6 which earned them a silver rating. Solo awards went to Keegon Dionne, Vivian Robinson, Lily Rogers,Goran Zadra-Woodruff, Darius Turner, and Anna Beth Buber.

Jazz One scored a 95.3 and was the only band in their division to receive a gold award.
Solop awards went to Noah Labonte, Christy Griglio, Kellan Tilton, Easton Foster, Yosef Pierce and Myah Finelli.

Two Warsaw students received OutStanding Musicianship awards Kellan Tilton and Christy Griglio. Congratulations to all!

Jazz Choir travels up to Stearns High School on Saturday for their 1:00 performance. Good luck!

Warsaw Jazz Bands are excited to perform at the State Jazz Festival on Saturday! Jazz 2 performs at 11:30 and the Jazz Band performs at 12:30. Both ensembles are in the Waterville Auditorium. Many thanks to Dr. David Stern (University of Maine at Orono) who came to Warsaw for a clinic with our musicians. We all learned a lot and had a great time while doing so.

One more picture! Bryan Wiers sat in with Opus One on Saturday and blew the doors down! Pictured here with his first teacher Lance Schank. Then Ms Buzy (his MCI teacher) and Ms Weinstein (his Warsaw teacher). And finally his University of Maine (Orono) teacher, Eric Thomas.

In conjunction with the Warsaw 7th Grade Team and the Bijou Theater, the MSAD 53/MCI Boosters hosted the Opus One Jazz Band on Saturday, February 28. After listening to the Warsaw Jazz ensembles, Opus One wowed the audience with their great performance. Proceeds from the performance were generously donated by Opus One to the theater. Many thanks to the Bijou Theater folks for feeding the Opus One musicians, the 7th Grade Warsaw Team for selling concessions, and the Warsaw Jazz Groups. It was truly a great spectacular community celebration of music and arts.
