Students demonstrated their understanding of the engineering design process through a balloon rocket lab. They had to create a balloon rocket that would support increasing amounts of weight. Students embodied stick-to-itiveness. They stuck with the challenge even through failure. Way to go Discovery Middle Schoolers as you persevered and collaborated!

Discovery staff officially welcomed students back yesterday after a weather event hit last week on the first staff day!
Our community is still recovering, but we hope the return to school brought a sense of peace, excitement and normalcy to our families. 💙💙🤍🤍

Mrs. Drew and Mrs. Hansen had a great time this weekend at Dunes Learning Center at the Project WET workshop. We’re coming back to school with lots of ideas for science class, Science Olympiad and art.
