Roots of resistance, fruits of labor. 🌱✊
This past Earth Day, the workers of Voz worked together as a team and built a beautiful community garden right in our backyard. Raíces de Resistencia. From the first measurement to the final seed planted, every inch of these five garden beds was built by our hands, as a collective team effort. 🛠️
For us, this space is about so much more than just gardening. It is a place for us to reclaim our food sovereignty, share ancestral knowledge of healing herbs, and ensure that our center has access to fresh, healthy meals. Whether we are brewing a pot of medicinal tea or watching our first sprouts break through the soil, we are growing our own future together. 🌿✨
A massive thank you to the community members who donated seeds, plants, and tools to make this vision a reality. You didn’t just give us supplies; you helped us plant the seeds of self reliance and resilience. ✊🏽
