Pratt Community College
Regarding President Dr. Michael Calvert
May 27, 2026

The Board of Trustees of Pratt Community College recognizes and thanks Dr. Michael Calvert for his service as President from September 1, 2013, through February 28, 2026.

During his 12½ years of leadership, President Calvert guided PCC through unprecedented challenges, including the global pandemic. Under his direction, the College earned national recognition from WalletHub as a Top 50 Community College multiple times, including a #3 national ranking in both 2024 and 2025. Since 2015, PCC increased enrollment by 8.5%, the second highest growth rate of the Kansas Community Colleges over this time—not including the 12% increase this academic year. Meanwhile, private fundraising increased, including $5.6 million in private contributions that funded the track and soccer field and the soon-to-be-added Point Pavilion—both community-shared facilities located at the Bill Keller Family Sports Complex—allowing the College to reduce its reliance on local property tax support by 8% this year.

With changes in Board composition and evolving priorities, President Calvert’s retirement provides the opportunity to begin a search for new leadership to guide PCC forward. The Board will initiate that process immediately. The Board of Trustees wishes Dr. Calvert well in the years ahead.
